Dan CAȘCAVAL, Professor PhD. eng.
Rector of the ”Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași
Mr. Dan Cașcaval is the Rector of the ”Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, since 2016. Previously he was Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection (2008 – 2016) and starting with 2004 he had different managerial positions within the faculty. In 1997 he obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. He is the author of many books and articles, having the main field of research in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology. He has been honored with prestigious awards and distinctions throughout the entire scientific research activity carried out through national and international grants and contracts with industry companies. He is a PhD Supervisor in the field of Chemical Engineering (since 2003) and member of Editorial Board of many prestigious scientific journals.

Nicolae MARCOIE, Assoc. Professor PhD. eng.
Dean of the Faculty of Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași
Mr. Nicolae Marcoie is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering in Iasi. Since 2020, he is the dean of the faculty, and previously held the position of Director of the Department of Water Improvement and Environmental Protection (2008-2020). The doctoral thesis is in the field of civil engineering with applications in the hydrotechnical sector. The main competencies are in hydraulics, regularization of watercourses, irrigation and drainage. He is a founding member of the Academic Organization of Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development and a member of the Association for Land Improvement and Rural Construction. He had internships in the Tempus programs in Lisbon (1996) and Grenoble (1999).

Constantin BOFU, Professor PhD.eng.
Vice-dean, Faculty of Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași
Mr. Constantin Bofu graduated Hydrotehnical Polytechnic Institute of Iasi in 1985. He teaches at the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi since 1990 and did his Ph.D. in civil engineering in 1999. Since 2008 is vice dean of the Faculty of Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering. His field of competence is the GIS and computer assisted graphics.

Ionuț SĂVOIU, Eng.
President of the Romanian Association of Surveyors
Mr. Ionuț Săvoiu is the president of Romanian Association of Surveyors. Ionuț Săvoiu was member of The Romanian Parliament – Vice-president of IT&C Commission. Between 2005 and 2012, he was country managing director of Blom Romania, Romania and international consultant in Blom International. During the Blom Romania period, Ionut Savoiu was in charge of business development, sales and projects in Romania and countries in East Europe. Further Ionut was responsible of mapping and GIS production for Blom Group. In 2004, he was appointed as Deputy General Manager of National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (NACLR), Romania. Ionuț Săvoiu graduated from Faculty of Geodesy – Technical University for Construction Bucharest, Romania. His diploma was prepared at Institute for Photogrammetry – Hannover University, Germany. He holds an MBA at IEDC - School of management Bled, Slovenia.

Gheorghe BADEA, Professor PhD. eng.
Dean of the Faculty of Geodesy, Technical University of Civil Engineering București
Mr. Gheorghe Badea graduated in 1989 from Faculty of Geodesy - Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, Romania. In 2003 he received a Ph.D from the same University for his thesis "Some Results in the Study of Using Cadastral Data in Land Information Systems". Between 2012-2015 he was acting as Vice-dean of Faculty of Geodesy. His main teaching and research activities at the Faculty of Geodesy is focused on Cadastral Systems in Urban Areas, Information Systems Specific to the Activity Fields, Methods of Real Estate Recording and GIS Applications. He is also collaborating with the Faculty of Planning - "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism and at the Faculty of Geography - University of Bucharest. At the same time, he has been involved in several research and educational projects as team member as well as project manager for EU financed Projects. During the time he was acting in the private sector and also he collaborated with ANCPI for development of technical normatives. Prof. Badea is Member of the Romanian Surveyors Association and Member of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing National Society. He was involved in the committees of many scientific conferences and he was the President of the Scientific symposium with international participation GeoPreVi.

Constantin CHIRILĂ, Assoc. Professor PhD. eng.
Director of Surveying and Cadastre Department, Faculty of Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași
Mr. Constantin Chirilă is an Associate Professor at the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi, the Faculty of Hydrotechnical Engineering, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering. He graduated in 2001 as a Geodetic Engineer, with a Cadastre specialization at the Technical University of Iasi. Then he joined the teaching staff of the Surveying and Cadastre Department, the Faculty of Hydrotechnical Engineering, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering in Iasi. Since 2009, he has held the office of Department Director. He is the organizer of the Surveying and Cadastre Bachelor and Geomatics and Cartography Master Degree Programs. His main researches are in the field of Geodesy and Cartography. His Ph.D thesis, Contributions to the methods of realization of cartographical database for digital plans and maps, was published in 2008 under the scientific coordination of Professor Gheorghe Nistor. He is a member of the Romanian Surveyors Union and a founding member of the Young Photogrammetrists Association. He is the Vice-president of the organizing committee of Geomat international symposium and a member of other organizing and scientific committees of national and international conferences. He is a regional correspondent of the Journal of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, edited by the Romanian Surveyors Union.

Valeria-Ersilia ONIGA, Assoc. Professor PhD. eng.
President of the Young Photogrammetrists Association
Ms. Valeria-Ersilia Oniga graduated the Faculty of Hydrotechnics, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University from Iasi in 2007; PhD in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing since 2013 and habilitated in the field of „Geodetic Engineering” since 2021; Had power point presentations, organized as seminars and lectures in the field of 3D modelling of urban area and camera calibration at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation, Vienna University of Technology and also at the Departamento de Engenharia Geografica, Geofisica e Energia, Universidade de Lisboa under the Erasmus program; President and founding member of the “Young Fotogrammetrist Society”; Organizer of national and international scientific events and member of over 20 international scientific review committees; Main organizer of workshops: “Learn more about photogrammetry and remote sensing” (2016-2019) and “Georeferencing and processing of laser scanning data and UAS images” (2017, 2019) and organizing committee member of GEOMAT Symposium (2013 - 2019); Currently Associate Professor at the Department of Surveying and Cadastre, Faculty of Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering.

Mr. Ion Giurma is a professor at the Faculty for Hydrotechnics, Geodesy and Environmental Engineering, Iasi. He was the Rector of the "Gheorghe Asachi"Technical University of Iasi between 2008-2016. He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University, Iasi. Holds the chair for the following courses: To undergraduate: Hydrology, Water resources management. To master: Special Hydrology, Integrated management of water resources, Flood prevention and fighting, Disaster management, Safety of hydrotechnical constructions Scientific research in the fields: Hydrology, Water quality, Mathematical modelling of water courses, Ecological rehabilitation of water corps, Dams safety. Livia NISTOR-LOPATENCO, Assoc. Professor PhD. eng.
Dean of the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre, Technical University of Moldova
Associate Professor, Ph.Dr. in Engineering Livia Nistor-Lopatenco is a full time professor at the Technical University of Moldova. She is the Dean of the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre, since almost 3 years. She has been working at the Technical University of Moldova for 19 years, as a university assistant, university lecturer, Associate Professor, head of department Geodesy Cadastre and Geotechnics (during 7 years), etc. In his doctoral dissertation she worked has made proposals for the creation of an Integrated Cadastre in Republic of Moldova using the ArcGis platforms. She has supervised more than 100 theses (license and master). From 2015 she is empowered to lead doctoral theses, and currently she has 3 doctoral students, who are actively working on the doctoral thesis. She's the author more than 60 publications, including 7 methodical teaching materials. She is a member of the Exact and Engineering Sciences section of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova from 2018.

Pietro GRIMALDI, Professor PhD. eng.
Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy
Mr. Pietro Grimaldi formed under the Civil Engineering Building (School of Supsi in Lugano and at the Faculty of Engineering in Bari) since 1982 is interested in "Architectonic Photogrammetry" is the remarkable photogrammetric documentation of the "Convent of San Damiano in Assisi" performed in 1990. Grimaldi turns great interest to architectural documentation with the use of new technologies following the development of digital technology in Photogrammetry and starting, in recent years, the study in addition to the finalization of the survey, the proper use of laser scanning 3D and thermographic technology in architectonic documentation. Focussing the documentation of cultural heritage as evidenced by the last "business" of initiating a "Center for Documentation of Cultural Heritage on line in South America" with the sponsorship and contribution of the University Central of Venezuela (UCV). Finally, the participation in and publication of some 50 works, most of them in international conferences (Spain, Poland, Romania, Greece, USA, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Costa Rica). At the moment Professor Pietro Grimaldi is in the position of expert on the subject of photogrammetry and 3D laser scanner in the Politecnico di Bari (Italy).
